Charlotte has practised in Family Law for over 23 years, specialising in complex child protection cases for both parents, but predominantly for the child through their Children’s guardian as an Accredited Law Society Children Panel Member. Having completed her training contract in Essex, she joined FMW Law in February 2012 becoming a supervisor and then Head of the Children team at our Hammersmith office.

When GT Stewart incorporated FMW in 2018 Charlotte remained with us and continues to cultivate a loyal following of clients. She undertakes the training of trainees and other staff members and is a committed and dedicated lawyer seeking to ensure those that are vulnerable are given a voice in court proceedings.

Charlotte has a large and varying case load of complicated matters, which include cases involving the death of a child, shaken baby allegations, Non accidental injuries, including head injuries, fractures, burns, and bruising, sexual abuse, Fabricated Induced Illness.

Charlotte undertakes a lot of her own advocacy in the family courts, and works closely with both Leading Counsel and Junior

Charlotte is recognised as a Recommended Lawyer in the Legal 500 2026 UK edition and heads up one of the London teams that has attained for the first time, a Tier 6 Ranking in the Legal 500 in the 2026 UK Edition.
