Georgina is an experienced lawyer and the Head of the Criminal Department in Birmingham. She is a salaried partner, supervising duty solicitor and advocate, who has worked at McGrath and Co, now part of GT Stewart Solicitors, for over 20 years.

Georgina can often be found conducting hearings at Magistrates Courts across the Midlands, especially where cases are legally complex.  She defends clients at the High Court and County Court for alleged injunction breaches. She also prepares and presents cases at the Crown Court, including serious fraud, violence and drugs-related offences.

Georgina is a robust trial advocate, always willing to challenge evidence and raise legal arguments. She is especially skilled in cases involving police witnesses where she demonstrates abuse of power or unlawful actions by the police.

Georgina has a strong interest and significant experience in representing vulnerable defendants with particular expertise in working with youths and neurodivergent clients.

Georgina also has extensive experience in road traffic law and is highly skilled in advancing exceptional hardship and mitigation arguments to help clients retain their driving licences.
