Karen is an experienced family solicitor, with a wide knowledge of the law. Karen graduated from the University of Hertfordshire in 2008 with a degree and masters in law and completed the Legal Practice Course in 2010. Karen began her career specialising in criminal defence before making the transition to start practicing in Children Law.
Karen represents clients that include:
- Children;
- Parents;
- Grandparents and other family members;
- Vulnerable adults and those with learning difficulties and learning disabilities;
Karen specialises in children matters and is a member of the Law Society Children Panel. She represents children, parents and other relatives in proceedings when Social Services are involved with their family.
Karen deals with cases that include:
- Cases where parents are involved with Social Services (Pre-Proceedings Meetings, Child Protection and Child In Need);
- Care Proceedings;
- Emergency Protection Order applications;
- Placement Order and Adoption Order Applications;
- Deprivation of Liberty Proceedings;
- Children Act Applications;
