Todd joined GT Stewart in 2024 from a well-established and reputable high-street firm in Oldbury.
Todd has been a qualified Solicitor since 2015 and has been working in Family Law since 2011 prior to qualifying.
He is an experienced Family Law Solicitor whose practice encompasses a wide variety of areas in Family Law:
- Public Law Proceedings (Care Proceedings and applications for Emergency Protection Orders) representing children, parents and other parties with an interest in the case, including those invited to intervene;
- Special Guardianship Order Applications;
- Placement Order and Adoption Order Applications;
- Secure Accommodation Applications;
- Deprivation of Liberty Applications (children);
- Recovery Order Applications.
- Cases where parents are involved with Social Services (Pre-Proceedings Meetings, Child Protection and Child In Need);
- Applications under the Court’s Inherent Jurisdiction;
- Wardship Applications;
- Private Law Children Work (Contact and Residence disputes, Prohibitive Steps and Specific Issue applications;
- Injunctions (under the Family Law Act and Harassment Act);
- Forced Marriage Order Applications;
As a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel, Todd is able to represent children, via their appointed Guardians, in both Public and Private Law matters.
He is also experienced in representing vulnerable clients, including representing vulnerable parties through the Official Solicitor in a variety of children matters.
He is also instructed directly by the Official Solicitor to represent vulnerable clients in relation to Forced Marriage Protection matters.
Todd aims to approach matters with common sense, sensitivity, and understanding as he fully appreciates the Law can be daunting for lay persons. He tries to explain all aspects of a client’s case in everyday language, and in a friendly manner.

Re: A
A complex matter representing a vulnerable mother, also a foreign national in Care Proceedings where the Family Court made orders to allow the child to be placed outside of the Jurisdiction in Europe.
Re: B
Representing a parent concluding in a multi-day final hearing involving a number of children which included a Finding of Fact Hearing to determine the perpetrator of the death of a child.
Re: C
Representing a vulnerable parent where both parents had significant learning difficulties. It was successfully argued for the children remain in their care following assessment.
Re: D
An emotionally difficult matter representing a parent with a terminal illness in Care Proceedings to determine with whom the child should live with as the parent was no longer able to care for their child.
